AT&T has announced the sale of it’s Quickplay video distribution platform to a JV with Firstlight Media and Highview Capital partners less than 4 years after acquiring the company.

The deal comes during a period of increasing competition in the over-the-top (OTT) services, like video streaming, as cord-cutting continues putting pressure on traditional cable providers.
