Jian Wee (William) Soh

Jian is The MergerSight Group’s Partner at Imperial College London. Born and raised in Malaysia, he is now in his penultimate year studying an integrated masters degree in Mechanical Engineering. Jian joined Mergersight as an analyst in January 2022 and has contributed to over 10 reports for the Imperial chapter, with some of the most prolific deals including HSBC’s acquisition of SVB UK and Oracle’s acquisition of Cerner Corporation. With a strong interest towards investment banking, he has done spring weeks in JP Morgan, Jefferies, Fidelity and also summer internships in DC Advisory, KPMG during his first and second year of study.

Outside his work and study commitments, Jian enjoys playing badminton and follows up regularly on badminton tournaments worldwide. Being a nature lover, he loves travelling to islands and enjoy the serenity the places have to offer. Jian is also a dessert lover with a fondness towards dark chocolate and matcha.
