William Hodgson

William is the President of the MergerSight Group. Born in England and raised in Perth, Western Australia, he is currently pursuing a double major in Finance and Economics at the University of Melbourne.

William joined MergerSight as an analyst in October 2023, where he contributed to M&A reports including Apollo's £506mm acquisition of TRG, HPE's $14bn Acquisition of Juniper Networks, and Capital One's $35.3 bn acquisition of Discover Financial. He also currently serves as the Treasurer and Secretary at the Finance Students' Association.

William is currently interning at Tooronga Advisory as an M&A Analyst and has previously interned at KPMG. He has a keen interest in the mining industry and enjoys weightlifting and running.
