Analyst

Role Description

We are looking for undergraduate students (preferably 1st & 2nd years) who are currently enrolled at one of our existing university branches with an intense interest in finance and desire to become more actively involved with the industry. A finance or economics-related degree is not a requirement, but you will need to display good awareness of finance besides good writing skills.

As a MergerSight Analyst, you will be one of our primary content creators, analysing and reporting on current M&A deals. Our reports are mainly quantitative, however, we will be providing you with resources to deepen your learning and the potential opportunity to do more technical analyses for us. We have a wide network spanning UK, EU, and US top universities such as LSE, Bocconi, and Wharton which we will be connecting you with and for each project you work on with us we will pair you up with another Analyst from a different region. This will allow you to widen your personal network and develop your financial skills by leveraging the MergerSight network. The role also comes with good opportunities for future involvement with MergerSight in a position with greater responsibility.

Tasks/Responsibilities

Writing a quantitative report with around 4 pages of text and analysis every 4-5th week
Stay active in communicating with your assigned Partner
Seek to actively improve your financial knowledge and writing skills

Partner

Role Description

We are looking for penultimate or final year students with a degree of finance experience. A partner acts as a leader of their University’s MergerSight team. You will be responsible for building, training and managing your own team of analysts. Your team will be producing M&A reports, working with other branches as part of an International Co-operation schedule. As well as taking an active part in the writing of reports, you will also be responsible for ensuring our reports are of the highest quality.

Tasks/Responsibilities

Managing all local MSG operations
Training new analysts
Creating M&A reports together with Analysts
Ensuring submission deadlines are met
Managing International cooperation with other partners
Ensuring that the reports are of the highest quality

Promoting MergerSight through social channels

Candidate Profile

Penultimate or final year student
Strong leadership skills
Prior financial industry experience
