Zhiqing (Freya) Zhang

Freya is the Global Head of Expansion and a partner at The MergerSight Group’s HKUST branch, where she leads international growth initiatives and drives strategic research with a multidisciplinary approach.

As a penultimate-year student in the Dual Degree Programme in Technology and Management, Freya majors in Computer Science and Economics, a blend that deepens her understanding of how data, systems, and markets interact. Her research focuses on ESG, sustainable practices, and green finance, exploring how innovation can drive positive change across the financial sector. Freya has also built valuable industry experience through the UBS Tomorrow’s Talent Programme and her role as an Equity Researcher at China Galaxy Securities. Whether she’s analysing investment trends or forging new partnerships, she brings energy, focus, and a love for continuous improvement.
